Kareem was super helpful with helping us get chairs in the morning, Khalia made our kids day by going over and beyond getting our kids coconuts to drink out of. The entertainment was unbeatable. The talent is of the singers, magicians, dancers, and performers was what made the trip. This is our 4th time to Jamaica and we can’t wait to come back! Alani and Durval are amazing at making any drink that you can think of. And so friendly and welcoming. Captain David at water sports loves his job and makes you have the most amazing time. He is so patient and accommodating. Bubba was amazing with my little Bubba who was afraid to snorkel. He made him feel confident enough to get in and enjoy himself. Nobody ever asked us for money or tips and our room was always immaculate and sometimes we even have a cute little towel animal on our beds. How could you want to go anywhere else!?!? Can’t wait for our next trip!!!

I was so excited to visit beaches having visited the Ocho Rios one previously. Man, I was so disappointed the hotel has absolutely no culture! Other than the fact that my passport has a Jamaican stamp you would not believe you were actually in Jamaica staying in this resort. The food options were largely catered for Americans, tacos, steaks etc. barely any Caribbean food which was shocking to me. The music was just terrible, not cultural at all just American soundtracks all day long. I guess some people go to Jamaica just for their sun but I actually wanted culture and did not get it. We booked a family room. I was disappointed to find that this meant to pull out sofa bed and one double bed. For the price we paid, I would’ve expected a bit more for the suite. Overall, I would say just wasn’t worth the cost.

We loved dining at Mariachi,Yaku and Stella and Jerk Shack ( evenings only). Kudos to the following for making our stay a memorable and happy one. Furthermore, the entertainment staff largely ignored us (with the exception of Sean, who was wonderful). As a family of colour, we felt a lack of engagement from certain staff members compared to other guests. Additionally, our child did not have a acceptive experience because of his skin colour with some of the other children on-site. While we recognize the resort is not responsible for guest-to-guest behavior, these interactions meant we did not feel comfortable utilizing Camp Sesame.
