Penthouse Butler waterfront location was very nice and oceanfront. We did find roaches in the unit. The Butler service was terrible by one of the butlers and not worth the money. We spoke to the General Manager, and it seem to go nowhere. The unit was not stocked daily with beverages or snacks. Plates used were not replaced in room. The Cabana was not set up by 10am as requested. The worst was we missed our opportunity on a certification for driving as the butler failed to communicate. We were a family of 4 with few requests and the communication was poor. We had a private car transfer, and they wanted us to leave 5 1/2 hours prior to our departure as well. The butler service did not provide information about or room and what was include, just to read the letter from management. Very disappointed, would not return to this location. Turks is a lot better, and the butler service was excellent there, not in Jamaica. We asked our butlers for ideas to go see or do; nothing was suggested. When we decided to go off property, we were instructed to bring money. Butler did not say how much the car would cost or any input. Butler was basically lazy and not knowledgeable at all of area or resort. We are also a non-smoking family and were under the understanding that guests would be smoking in smoking areas not in the cabana next to us. Butler said they were not allowed but did not address or correct the situation. Certainly not worth what we paid!

12/31-1/8, family of four. Two boys aged 15 and 12 TLDR- we loved it here. Rebooked before we left, upgrading to a 2bd walkout. The beach and the staff are โจchefโs kiss โจ. Also my pants are tighter now and I need to go home and wring out my liver. Club mobay- we boogied right through on arrival. Definitely worth it in our opinion for that alone. The lounge on arrival was ok.. we didnโt really spend a lot of time there. Ended up getting something to go as our shuttle was ready for us. Departure lounge was a bit better. Big buffet, restrooms, and we found outlets to charge our stuff. The ride to the resort- was just my family in a van which was nice. Ride back to MBJ was a bus with a bunch of families. About 90 minutes. No biggie for us The resort- what truly makes this place amazing is the staff. 99% of the people were so kind and outgoing. Nothing felt forced either. We got the walkout king with the trundles. (Wbck) It was fine for us. Loved having the walkout! It made everything more convenient. We had kittens under our porch too. ๐ป It was a little tight at night with the trundle pulled out- had to be careful getting up in the middle of the night. We were in the Savannah building in room 606. Super close to everything which was a mixed bag. The beach was steps away as was the main pool and water park. We are early to bed early to rise people so it was kind of loud for us at night. The beach- OMG. Gorgeous. We had no problems getting chairs whether in the sun or the shade. Servers came and got us drinks from the bar regularly. Heavenly. There were vendors set up on property and I think they changed daily. They were also walking up and down the beach. I guess they each have a certain section that they are allowed to sell on and that also changes daily if I am not mistaken. I think we gave them all of our cash haha. Ok-the food- if you are a โfoodieโ this probably isnโt the place for you. Everything was fine. For us- we liked Stella (breakfast and dinner) and Yaku. We were not huge fans of Kimonos. Soy was yummy as was Mariachi. We had pretty good luck at the Mill most days. The French night was our favorite. Cafe de Paris had good crepes and coffee, the pastries were meh. YoYos was a hitโฆ I think my kids ate their weight in frozen yogurt. Also, the food trucks were pretty good too. The Jerk Shackโฆ outstanding. So flavorful. Activities- water sports were fun! We did the included snorkel trip twice with Papa Smurf. He found ocean critters for us to hold and pointed out flounder and Stingrays. Rickโs excursion was fun for me and the husband, but not so much for the kids. We went at sunset which was GORGEOUS, but it wasnโt a kids kinda crowd. I heard itโs better to go there with kids when it opens, but then you would miss that sunset. The boys would have liked more of an arcade- the Xbox lounge was cool for a bit, but the online stuff didnโt work there. They also would have liked more non-water activities. (It was rainy and red flags a few days) There were no kids signed up for the teen camp. We all liked that they could come and go as they pleased and eat whatever, whenever. We played a lot of Uno and euchre. The concierge did let us borrow a chess set. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We brought two extra large suitcases filled with donations. We went to the Pack With a Purpose website and followed the needs list. I donโt think it was really updated with needs from the hurricane, so we added some extra clothing items. We left it at the front desk and they took care of it all. We meant for them to keep the suitcases but they returned them to our room. We ended up giving them to the vendors that were set up on the beach area because they said they could use them. I did see a bunch of people walking in slides and flip flops that were too small so I bet they could use those if you have extra you want to send! Listening to some of their storiesโฆ ugh. Terrifying ordeal as you can imagine. They are still without electricity, water, and building materials in lots of places.

We are a family of 5, and this was our 3rd time visiting Beaches Negril. We obviously love this place otherwise we wouldn't have gone back again... we love the staff, the place, the beach, and the food. I do have to admit, that even though staff is incredible at constantly maintaining the place, it's definitely starting to show it's age. Some of the areas are feeling a little run down and could use a little update. We also had to ask a staff member for the pool to be cleaned one of the days... we noticed that for a couple of days, the same band aid was floating around, and also many bugs in the pool. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our family time. Delly and the entire entertainment team were PHENOMENAL as always!! We're veteran Beaches resorts guests (Diamond status), and I think Beaches Negril is my favorite Beaches resort. I say this every time we come here. The employees and guests just all seem happier in Negril -- even after a major hurricane -- and that makes for a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Special thanks to Natasha on the beach (who could not have been nicer or more helpful), Nicolette (for being delightful and taking great photos which we eagerly purchased), the AWESOME entertainment staff (who put on amazing shows at night and still managed to be so friendly when we saw them around the resort each day -- especially the saxophonist), Caveen/Queenboss and Glenroy (who trip after trip are always so helpful and encouraging and go out of their way to make us feel special whenever we see them -- we can't wait to dive with them again!), and to the Watersports Team generally (who cheerily helped us with Hobies, kayaks, SUPs, & windsurfing throughout our stay). Many thanks, much appreciation, and respect to the amazing Beaches Negril staff! We can't wait to go back!

On the far western side of Jamaica, youโll find the friendly town of Negril. Here in the midst of gorgeous beaches and calm waters sits the beautiful resort of Beaches Negril. A close second on our list of Top 5 Beaches resorts, it ties with Beaches Turks & Caicos in terms of scenic beauty. It comes only slightly second overall because itโs smaller in scope than the first resort on our list, even though itโs still impressively large and delightfully complete.
Overview
Great vibes and a casual atmosphere set this Beaches resort apart. From the moment you arrive at Beaches Negril, youโll feel your cares melt away as you embrace island living at its luxurious best.
With world-class entertainment, spacious accommodations, and unlimited access to Negrilโs Seven-Mile Beach โ frequently voted as one of the best in the world โ the resort offers you plenty of opportunities for romantic sunset strolls, nightly entertainment, water sports, and leisurely naps to recharge before getting back out to explore and do more.
Beaches Negril At a Glance
An all-inclusive resort on the west end of Jamaica known for spectacular sunsets, gorgeous beaches, and calm waters
Over 185 all-new rooms and suites available, including tropical beachfront suites
More than a dozen room categories available
Dining options include 9 gourmet restaurants to choose from
There are 7 bars to try, including two swim-up bars
You can enjoy 7 miles of white-sand, turquoise-water beaches, with coral reefs and lagoons
Two pools are available, plus three whirlpools
Enjoy a waterpark, golfing, a liquid night club, and an optional spa
What Youโll Find at This Beaches Resort
Play on seven miles of beaches that face west for perfect sunsets. Here you can walk from the soft sandy shore into the clear, warm Caribbean Sea and keep walking for long stretches, thanks to the shallow waters. After enjoying the beach, head back to the heart of the resort where you can relax in your comfortable accommodations, enjoy gourmet fare, and take part in everything Beaches Negril has to offer.
Entertainment options are many and varied. Enjoy daytime and nighttime options, taking part in live shows, beach parties, nightclubs, bonfires, street parades, and more. Choose your favorites for water sports; you can go kayaking, windsurfing, knee-boarding, or partake in other water activities using top-of-the-line equipment, guided by skilled instructors.
Beaches Negril offers guests plenty of land activities, too. Tennis is available day and night. Thereโs a fitness center for your workouts, as well as basketball courts. Enjoy lively games of beach volleyball and soccer, or cool down with a board game or billiards. Thereโs plenty to do, and itโs all included.
Rooms and suites are beautifully appointed. You can select whatever you prefer, with many options to choose from including oceanfront suites and luxury rooms with lush tropical garden views and private patios. All rooms are comfortable and luxurious, and you can add greater levels of service when you opt for Concierge Service or Butler Elite.
When you get hungry, youโll find great food to satisfy your hunger. The elegant Venetian offers gourmet Italian meals. Enjoy made-to-order sushi creations at Soy Sushi Bar. Overlooking the resortโs main pool and the ocean beyond, The Mill serves both Caribbean and international fare. In addition to serving you through nine uniquely themed restaurants, Beaches Negril provides you with a self-serve frozen yogurt locale that also offers gelato, sorbet, and non-dairy options.
What We Like Best
We absolutely love the casual ambiance of this luxurious resort! Beach Negril provides you with beautiful surroundings and elegance at every turn, but the atmosphere is casual for a truly relaxing experience.
And the setting is nothing short of paradise. Miles of scenic beaches, transparent blue waters, sugary sand to walk on, swaying palm trees, and dramatic sunsets make this the perfect honeymoon or anniversary vacation spot.
These are the top reasons we like Beach Negril so much:
Miles of perfect beaches with clear, calm waters ideal for wading, swimming, or doing watersports
The swimming pools and whirlpools are attractive and inviting
Eat day or night at one of several five-star all-included restaurants and a yogurt shop
You can partake in as many or as few of the entertainment options you want โ itโs all completely up to you
With many activities and fitness opportunities to select, you can create your own ideal blend of keeping active and taking time to rest
If you want a higher level of service, concierge and butler services can be selected with some room types
Here you can enjoy the convenience of an all-inclusive resort experience in an environment thatโs equal parts laid-back and luxurious
What Might Make This the Best Beaches Resort for You
If youโre looking for an all-inclusive Beaches resort that offers all the amenities you want but is more laid-back and low-key, choose Beaches Negril. The surrounding beach scenery is so beautiful it might bring your eyes tears of awe.
While smaller than the Beaches resort at Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, Beach Negril is by no means small. There is still much to do and explore here. If you think you would prefer a more intimate setting without endless options, this might be a better choice for you.
