From the moment we arrived at Lucia Grande Resort, we were swept into paradise! The resort is stunning, the service is impeccable, and every detail—from the food to the entertainment—exceeded our expectations. The beach is pristine, the pools are luxurious, and the atmosphere is the perfect mix of relaxation and fun.
What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff. The food was top-tier—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented at every meal. Every restaurant we tried offered something unique, and the service was top-notch.
But we have to give a special shoutout to the entertainment team, especially Kelvin and Leana! Their energy, passion, and genuine love for what they do brought so much joy to our trip. From beach games to evening shows, they made sure everyone was engaged and having the time of their lives. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and entertained.
If you’re considering a vacation here—book it! Lucia Grande is the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to come back.

We had a wedding here May 2025 but also visited in Jan 2025. I cannot say enough good things about both of our experiences! From the time we walked in the door to the time we left. All of the staff were the friendliest we have ever encountered at Sandals/Beaches resorts! Fern and Shana were our wedding planners and they both were more amazing than we were expecting. They both took care of everything that was needed and truly made our special day even more special!! We couldn't thank them enough!! Amil was our photographer and did a great job!! The grounds at this resort were beautiful and well kept! Tayo was super friendly! Matthew at the beach bar worked super hard every day!! He never stopped pouring drinks!! Neil was super awesome too- he was all over the resort but also our bartender at our wedding. We really enjoyed him and his humor!! Our room was perfect with stunning views of the beach! We enjoyed the food here also, never had a bad meal!! Dionne at Bombay and Gordons was one of the best servers we had there! I would definitely recommend this resort!! One of my favorites for sure and we travel a lot! Thank you to the entire staff here at The Grande, especially Fern and Shana!! You both mean so much to us!! We will definitely return to this Sandals in the future!!

Although we usually vacation at Sandals with our two children and their spouses (they couldn’t make this vacation), my husband and I decided to go it alone for one week (last week of May). The ride to the resort from the airport (2 hours) didn’t help my initial sadness but upon arriving at the resort, my sadness dissipated quickly with the warm welcome by the Resort Director, Matthew Siegel, and staff. I especially want to give a shout-out to Abby from Guest Services who made sure that our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. Abby made sure that we had everything we needed, especially extra towels and water every day. Our very pleasant housekeeper, Cynchia, made sure that our room was clean and tidy throughout our stay. When you go to the swim-up bar, make sure you ask for the “Peter special of the day” from Peter himself — will keep you goin’ back for more. And if Peter is off for the day, Francis also has great specials, especially the “Francis Grande” which you can’t get enough of either! We had a great time taste testing their special drinks — good company and conversations with Peter, Francis and new friends rounded out the good times at the pool. Also, don’t forget to make time to relax at the beautiful white-sand beach. The inviting and refreshing turquoise water was exactly as depicted in the pictures.
We ate at all of the restaurants but we especially enjoyed Toscaninis, whether it was for breakfast or dinner and Fay, Mary and Chris were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Make a reservation for Gordon’s — so worth it! And Amanda and Kennya always had a big smile waiting for us at Barefoot by the Sea where we ate lunch daily and dinner once. All of the staff in the restaurants were very kind and provided fantastic service.
We are seasoned Island vacationers so there’s nothing better than going on your own to immerse yourself in the culture and Island and Georgia, from Island Routes, arranged a perfect day for us with a private guide, Anson Greaves. We had six hours of a personal and authentic island tour which included driving through the mountains and rain forest from one end of the Island to the other admiring spectacular and breathtaking views of the coast, the City, and most importantly, the majestic Pitons. We enjoyed the Sulphur Springs and Volcanic Mud before going to the picturesque Toraille Waterfall. Eating lunch at a local restaurant was one of the highlights of the day — it overlooked the Pitons. We met new friends and created memories that will last a lifetime. Sandals Grande St. Lucian did not disappoint!

We stayed a week at the over the water Bungalows, from the moment we arrived we were greeted by the amazing front desk staff. They introduced us to our amazing butlers Glenda, Gemma & Antonius. The three of them have made this trip amazing in every aspect and unforgettable. This leads us to the entertainment side with the pool staff from the bartenders to our game hosts; Cassias & Neville who brought excitement and fun everyday at the pool. We look forward to returning with our families and friends! Thank you for making our honeymoon unforgettable!

It’s set on its own peninsula, offering a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea, Rodney Beach, and majestic volcanic mountains
It takes pride as the sole resort with over-the-water bungalows on the island
Home to the Sandals Golf & Country Club at Cap Estate, designed by golf icon Greg Norman
Where Is Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Many vacationers consider it the best Sandals resort in St. Lucia. Sandals Grande St. Lucian is situated on its peninsula along the Pigeon Island Beach stretch. It serenely sits between the Caribbean Sea and Rodney Bay, which is said to have the calmest waters on the island.
What To Expect
Swim or try different watersports on the resort’s mile-long beach. Then, you can take a break by quietly observing yachts or indulging yourself in the resort’s beautiful vistas. The resort also has 12 restaurants to choose from (including an over-the-water one). At the end of the day, you can unwind at an over-the-water bungalow — a feature you can’t find elsewhere in St. Lucia.
Pros and Cons
The Pros
Postcard-worthy views and tranquil waters
Vibrant atmosphere
Close to the Pigeon Island National Landmark
The Cons
Extra fees for beach cabanas with concierge
Demands a lot of walking to explore the resort
Main pool can be too crowded
What Vacation Experiences It Offers
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is a paradise for the beach lover and the honeymooner. Its over-the-water amenities take you closer to calm St. Lucia waters than any other resort on the island. Besides the standard amenities, optional vacation experiences include a candlelight dinner, a Red Lane spa experience, and a land and catamaran cruise tour.

My husband and I just arrived home last night from the most wonderful trip at Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia. We went primarily for scuba diving as my husband had gotten certified in Sandals Ochi, and now I just got certified in Halcyon!
We had a room that was along the pool that ran along the suites, it was near the pizza truck. The food was amazing. The best place to eat in my opinion was Bayside (props go to Chef Singh!). I finally got PADI certified here - the scuba instructor Nelson - huge thank you for your patience!
We had fantastic servers, Keisha, and Berthelina. And the bartenders at the main swim up bar: Chris, Ryan, Regina were awesome. The bar closest to our room with these mixologists: Kayla, Vince, Shaquille, Nicole and Danelle. We really had a great time, and would highly recommend. How can I forget the best spa experience with Zenith! It's worth every penny, the food, the service and the staff- absolutely wonderful. Thank you to the GM Sharon for running an amazing resort. 🙂

My Husband and I just spent an amazing 6 nights at Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort for our 25th Anniversary. It was the vacation we did not know we needed. Amazing/Friendly/Efficient Staff. Amazing views. Amazing Food. The only thing that I didn't like was the electrical plugs. I didn't know I needed a converter/adapter in order to use our US phone chargers/curling iron. The resort staff provided us with 2 different adapters, so all was good. The ride from the airport is a little over 1 hour so prepare yourself. It is a long winding, uphill/downhill ride.

We stayed at Halcyon Beach for 10 days and had an overall, great trip! We stayed in the Koko Rondoval suite and the room did not disappoint. The pool is great and the fountains can be turned off if requested (they can be a bit loud.) We went on four excursions, but spent a lot of downtime in our room relaxing. We wish there would have been smart TV functionality to connect to our streaming services but that isn't the biggest deal.
Before arriving, we were very unsure how to utilize butler services and we would say that we may have under utilized them because of this. We tried to be very self-sufficient but appreciate all of the work they did to care for us during our stay!
We did have food delivered to our room for some meals, and our fridge was stocked on most days (and would be promptly stocked upon asking.) Our butlers, Ginna, Krysta, and Viana were incredibly kind, personable, and you could tell that they hustled throughout the day serving our room and other guest rooms. If needed, they can book excursions, make reservations at the resort restaurants, book spa services, reserve pool or beach space, and more. Thank you, Ginna, Krysta, and Viana!
The one piece of feedback that we have for the resort, would be the food - I think we were looking for higher quality food and ingredients. We ate at every restaurant and enjoyed Soy the most, with Bistro being second!
Advice that we would give, bring plenty of cash - while the staff at Sandals (minus butlers) cannot accept tips, drivers, people who assist with luggage upon arrival, and excursions guides appreciate and or accept being tipped! Don't overdo it with excursion planning - many of them begin at 8 AM and last the whole day. We tried to give ourselves a day in between each excursion to relax.
We are, overall, pleased with our stay and would recommend visiting St. Lucia!

We went to this resort for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Our butlers were great, timely and always fun to talk to, shoutout to Ajay, Tylar, and Pluta!! The service was pretty quick for the most part, an occasional blip but nothing to worry about when chilling on the beach. The resort provided an excellent concierge service and the available activities on the resort were good like sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and waterskiing! For an all-inclusive the food and drinks were as expected, not top notch and a bit watered down but still good enough. Kelly’s Dockside was the best restaurant BY FAR! The Hibatchi and sushi was also a favorite of ours. We also highly recommend the private beach dinner which was delicious and so elegant and beautiful, not to mention with great service. Also shoutout to the entertainment staff working hard each day to provide a fun and relaxing environment either by the pool or in the evenings, there were great!

I've been going to Halcyon for 25 years and have always been treated like family. It was our favourite place in the world, I proposed there, we got married there and we have spent landmark birthdays there.
All that has been ruined by our recent visit! In the past nothing was too much trouble but now with a new manager it is completely the opposite you are just tolerated as an inconvenience.

A quintessentially Caribbean resort with palm tree-laced, white sand beaches (some of the best beaches in St. Lucia)
It houses the longest pool in the Caribbean
Its roster of restaurants includes the over-the-water Kelly’s Dockside
Where Is Sandals Halcyon Beach
Sandals Halcyon Beach is close to its sister resort, Sandals Regency La Toc. It’s located off one of the busiest roads on the island, the Castries – Gros Islet Highway. Though it’s near such a thoroughfare, the adults-only resort is considered a true Garden Eden — thanks to its verdant scenery.
What To Expect
There’s a certain coziness that comes from this resort’s French-Caribbean-style, low-rise buildings. Surrounded by lush greenery and easy access to a pristine coastline, it’s hard to ignore this Caribbean oasis. Apart from having the Caribbean’s longest pool, it has six gourmet restaurants and seven bars touting distinctive and creative concepts.
Pros and Cons
The Pros
Beachfront swim-up suites
Laid-back vibe with French-Caribbean-style buildings
Plenty of outdoor space for lounging
The Cons
Near a busy road
Shuttle buses may arrive late
There could be stray cats
What Vacation Experiences It Offers
You’re sure to experience halcyon and relaxing days at Sandals Halcyon Beach. This resort is particularly appealing to honeymooners and couples on vacation. Further elevate your holiday with a Red Lane Spa Experience, a private candlelight dinner, or a Soufrière getaway.

My husband and I stayed for 7 days in the Piton two-story butler suite to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and also had a Retie Ceremony. For the ceremony we worked with Alison, Dala and Stephan which were all equally amazing to work with and made everything seamless and perfect! The officiant was also very nice. Our Butlers Malcom, Laban and Glen made sure we had everything we needed taken care of and were an absolute pleasure to have them as our Butlers. The grounds were perfect and the entertainments were fantastic, just the right amount of fun and enjoyment. ALL the staff were very nice, helpful and made sure we were good at all times!! We would definitely recommend anyone wanting to visit and looking a middle ground between relaxing and turning up!
