I am Jim, a Sandals Chairmanโs Royal Club Diamond Elite member who helps over 1,000 couples a year plan their Sandals getaway. Sandals Regency La Toc is the largest Sandals in Saint Lucia (210 rooms across a dramatic hillside-and-cove footprint), included green fees at the Sandals-owned La Toc golf course, and the Stay-at-1-Play-at-3 connection to all three Saint Lucia properties.
This is my full 2026 review of Sandals Regency La Toc: the beach, the rooms, the food, the pools, weddings and honeymoons, how it stacks up against the rest of the chain, and when to go for the best deal. You can check current rates and availability on Sandals.com if you want to compare while you read.
Quick take for 2026
- Where: Castries, on a hillside cove on Saint Luciaโs western coast
- Rooms: 210 rooms across hillside Sunset Bluff villas + beachfront blocks

- Best for: couples who want included golf in Saint Lucia, repeat Sandals guests who want the Stay-at-1-Play-at-3 access to all three Saint Lucia resorts, hillside-villa fans
- Skip if: you want overwater bungalows (book Grande St. Lucian instead, 90 minutes north), the smallest boutique (book Halcyon), or the best Pitons view (book Grande St. Lucian)

Where Sandals Regency La Toc is and how to get there
Sandals Regency La Toc sits on a private cove just south of Castries on Saint Luciaโs western coast. The 90-minute Sandals transfer from Hewanorra International (UVF) crosses the entire island south to north along the scenic west-coast highway. Stay at 1, Play at 3 connects you to Sandals Grande St. Lucian (north) and Sandals Halcyon Beach (closer, 20 minutes north), with complimentary shuttles between all three resorts.
Flights into UVF have nonstop options from JFK, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, and Toronto. The Sandals airport lounge is included on arrival. Worth knowing: the 90-minute transfer is the longest of the three Saint Lucia Sandals, but the route along the west coast is genuinely scenic and the Sandals shuttle bus has air conditioning, free water, and Saint Lucia rum punch. Full Saint Lucia context lives in my Saint Lucia vacation guide.
My take on the vibe at Sandals Regency La Toc
La Toc is the most spread-out Sandals in Saint Lucia. The property climbs a hillside from the cove beach up to the Sunset Bluff villas at the top, with the on-property 9-hole golf course wrapping around the upper third of the resort. The architecture is split-level Caribbean villa: red tile roofs, white columns, blooming gardens. The whole property feels more residential than the typical Sandals resort layout.
The crowd here skews repeat Saint Lucia visitors who specifically wanted the included golf, plus couples on Saint Lucia week-long trips who picked La Toc as the value tier vs Grande St. Lucian. Energy level is medium: the cove pool gets lively in the afternoon, the hillside villas stay quiet all day. The included shuttle to Sandals Grande St. Lucian (90-minute one way, runs twice daily) lets you spend a beach day at the OWB resort if you want.
This is the best Sandals in the chain for the Stay at 1, Play at 3 program: from one La Toc booking you can dine at La Tocโs 10 restaurants, Grande St. Lucianโs 12, and Halcyonโs 7, for an effective 29 restaurants on a single stay.
The beach
The La Toc beach is the resortโs private cove: about 600 feet of frontage, golden-tan sand (Saint Luciaโs volcanic island geology means most beaches are lighter brown rather than the white-white of Jamaica or the Bahamas), calm-water swimmable. The cove walls protect the swimming area from open-ocean currents. The water clarity is solid and the offshore reef is good enough for a basic shore-snorkel.
The beach is shorter than Grande St. Lucianโs peninsula beach but more sheltered. Most La Toc guests treat the beach as the morning activity and the hillside pools as the afternoon activity. Worth knowing: the resort runs free shore-snorkel sessions daily, and the snorkel boat takes guests to the Pigeon Island reef just north (a 40-minute boat ride, all-inclusive).
The pools and swim-up scene
Three pools and four whirlpools. The main beachfront pool with swim-up bar is the social hub of the resort by mid-afternoon. The hillside Sunset Bluff infinity pool overlooks the Caribbean from the top of the property and has the best sunset view at La Toc. The cove pool is the quieter morning option.
Worth knowing: La Toc does NOT have OWBs or Crystal Lagoon-style mega-pools. If those are the priority, see Sandals Grande St. Lucian (OWBs) or Sandals South Coast (Crystal Lagoon). For the broader Skypool and swim-up category comparison, see my Sandals swim-up suites guide.
The rooms (and which suite to book)
210 rooms across multiple categories spread between the beachfront blocks and the hillside Sunset Bluff villas. The marquee category at La Toc is the Sunset Bluff One Bedroom Butler Villa: private hillside villa with plunge pool, full butler service, sweeping ocean view, included golf-cart shuttle for in-resort transit.
- Best entry pick: Caribbean Honeymoon Beachfront Walkout Club Level. Direct ground-floor patio, club lounge access, premium amenities. Roughly 30% above the basic Caribbean tier.
- Best mid-tier pick: Honeymoon Beachfront Suite Butler. Beachfront patio plus full butler service. Mid-$1,200s per night during shoulder season.
- Best splurge pick: Sunset Bluff One Bedroom Butler Villa. Private hillside villa with plunge pool plus butler. Mid-$1,800s per night during shoulder season.
Worth knowing: La Toc does NOT have OWBs. For overwater inventory in Saint Lucia, see Sandals Grande St. Lucian. For the broader Club Level vs Butler decision, see Sandals Club Level vs Butler.
Dining at Sandals Regency La Toc
10 specialty restaurants on the resort plus dining privileges at all 12 of Sandals Grande St. Lucianโs restaurants and all 7 of Sandals Halcyon Beachโs restaurants through Stay at 1, Play at 3. That is 29 restaurants effectively. Reservations are not required at most venues; butler guests get reservations made for them.
- Bayside (modern Caribbean): the dinner reservation everyone tries to get. Beachfront patio, plate-style modern Caribbean.
- Soy Sushi Bar (sushi): the casual sushi option, fresh sashimi.
- La Toc Pavilion (international steakhouse): wood-fired meats, strong wine list.
- Kimonos (Japanese teppanyaki): chef-at-the-table show, reservations required.
- Cucina Romana (northern Italian): wood-fired pizza, plus the pasta course.
- Plus 5 more on top of that.
Nine bars total, including swim-up bars at the main pool. Top-shelf liquor (Hendricks, Makerโs Mark, Patron Silver), unlimited Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks wine, premium upgrades for butler-tier guests.
Activities, watersports, and whatโs included
The all-inclusive includes: PADI scuba (two boat dives a day, plus free Open Water certification), Hobie Cats, paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling, pickleball, and the fitness center. Plus included green fees at the on-property 9-hole La Toc golf course (the only Sandals where the golf course is on the resort grounds; you do not need a shuttle).
For divers: La Tocโs reef is decent but the chainโs strongest dive picks are still Sandals Grenada and Sandals Royal Curacao. La Toc runs a well-staffed program with the snorkel boat to Pigeon Island reef included. For chain-wide comparison see my best Sandals for scuba diving ranking.
Off-resort excursions: the Pitons day trip (60-minute drive south, the must-do Saint Lucia excursion), Diamond Falls and Sulphur Springs, Soufriere drive-in volcano. All bookable through the resort.
Weddings, honeymoons, and proposals at Sandals Regency La Toc
La Toc hosts a steady wedding calendar. Beachfront ceremonies use the cove beach at sunset; the Sunset Bluff infinity pool deck doubles as an elevated ceremony venue with sweeping ocean view. The complimentary Sandals wedding package works the standard way: 3+ night stay and the standard ceremony is free for the host couple.
Vow renewals follow the same rule (see my Sandals vow renewal guide). For couples planning to propose first, see my Sandals proposal packages guide. Pair with the free honeymoon package and the free anniversary night on a return trip.
How Sandals Regency La Toc compares to its sister resorts
La Toc sits in the value-to-mid tier of the Saint Lucia Sandals lineup. The headline differentiator is the included on-property golf plus the largest property footprint among the three Saint Lucia Sandals.
- vs. Sandals Grande St. Lucian: Grande St. Lucian has the OWBs and the Pitons backdrop from the south end of the peninsula. La Toc has the included golf and the Sunset Bluff hillside villas. Stay at 1, Play at 3 lets you split.
- vs. Sandals Halcyon Beach: Halcyon is the smallest Saint Lucia Sandals (194 rooms) and the value entry pick. La Toc is bigger and has the on-property golf.
- vs. Sandals Grenada: Grenada is one island south, with stronger diving and a more boutique feel. La Toc has the easier US flight access and the included golf.

When to go and how to find a deal
The La Toc shoulder season runs late April through mid-June and again late August through early November. Saint Lucia hurricane risk is lower than Jamaica (Saint Lucia sits in the southern Caribbean below the typical hurricane corridor), so the August-November shoulder window is genuinely usable. Peak winter (December through April) is the most expensive window; January through March is the deepest peak.
La Toc participates fully in the Sandals deal calendar. Sandals 7-7-7 sales (January, April, October) typically deliver 35-45% off rack rate. Black Friday usually adds another 5-10%. Stack the free anniversary night, the 10% military and first-responder discount, and the free honeymoon package for combined discounts of 50-55% off rack rate. Full deal-timing playbook in my best Sandals deals guide.
My verdict for 2026
Sandals Regency La Toc is the right Sandals for couples who want included golf in Saint Lucia plus the deepest Stay at 1, Play at 3 dining variety the chain offers. The on-property 9-hole course, the Sunset Bluff hillside villas, the cove beach, the connection to Grande St. Lucian and Halcyon all from one booking.
- Book Sandals Regency La Toc if you: want included on-property golf in Saint Lucia, want the deepest Stay at 1, Play at 3 dining variety, want the largest Saint Lucia Sandals, are upgrading to a Sunset Bluff hillside villa for a milestone trip
- Skip Sandals Regency La Toc if you: want overwater bungalows (book Sandals Grande St. Lucian), want the smallest boutique Saint Lucia Sandals (book Sandals Halcyon Beach), or want the best diving in the southern Caribbean (book Sandals Grenada)

Frequently Asked Questions
Is golf included at Sandals Regency La Toc?
Yes. Sandals Regency La Toc includes green fees at the on-property 9-hole La Toc golf course. This is the only Sandals in the chain where the golf course is on the resort grounds (the Jamaica Sandals at Ochi, Royal Plantation, and Dunnโs River include green fees at Upton Estate but require a shuttle). At La Toc you can walk from the spa to the first tee.
How does Sandals Regency La Toc compare to Sandals Grande St. Lucian?
Both are Saint Lucia. Sandals Grande St. Lucian has the OWBs and the Pitons backdrop. La Toc has the included on-property golf and the larger spread-out hillside footprint. Stay at 1, Play at 3 lets you split between La Toc, Grande St. Lucian, and Sandals Halcyon Beach on a single booking.
Does Sandals Regency La Toc have overwater bungalows?
No. The Saint Lucia OWB inventory lives at Sandals Grande St. Lucian (12 OWBs with Pitons backdrop). Stay at 1, Play at 3 from La Toc gives you dining access at Grande St. Lucian but not room access. Full overwater bungalow comparison in my OWB guide.
How long is the airport transfer to Sandals Regency La Toc?
About 90 minutes by Sandals shuttle from Hewanorra International (UVF) on the south end of Saint Lucia. The route follows the scenic west-coast highway. La Toc is 90 minutes north; Sandals Grande St. Lucian is 75 minutes (slightly shorter); Sandals Halcyon Beach is 90 minutes (similar to La Toc).
When is the best time to book Sandals Regency La Toc for the deepest discount?
The shoulder windows: late April through mid-June, then late August through early November. Saint Lucia sits below the typical hurricane corridor so the August-November window is genuinely usable. Combine with a 7-7-7 sale plus the free anniversary night and the 10% military discount for the deepest stacked discount, typically 50-55% off rack rate. Full playbook in my best Sandals deals guide.
