About Sandals Grenada

Where is Sandals Grenada?

You will find Sandals Grenada in Grenada, ultimately known for its black sand and white sand beaches. Expect to find the waters of the southeastern Caribbean, especially blue and clear, with coral formations that are even spotted in the air. Grenada is well known for its many dive sites and features lush vegetation, there is also a 13 acre crater lake, hot springs and cascading cliffs. These are just a few noteworthy things you can enjoy outside of the resort when you visit.

Getting to Sandals Grenada

You will fly into the beautiful island of Grenada via the Maurice Bishop International Airport with airport code GND. After clearing immigration and customs, you are just a five minute drive from the resort. Your resort transfer is complementary to and from the resort.

Best Time to Visit Sandals Grenada

The best time to visit Sandals Grenada is in the month of December, when the rainy season is over and the winter crowds are just arriving. This time of year, you can get a good sale right before the tourist surge of January to April, when prices will be higher. This is also the peak season, when both room rates and airfare will increase.

Subsequently, if you are up for it, you can book during hurricane season and get up to 40% off regular rates.

Pros and Cons of Sandals Grenada

The Pros

  • The staff at the hotel is very accommodating and go above and beyond whenever asked.
  • Transfer time is super short at 5 minutes tops.
  • The resort is spotless and the landscaping pristine.

There are a lot of steep walkways here, as the resort is sort of in a hole. It’s great for people who like to take a challenging walk or run, but I would say it would be a difficult resort to navigate for someone who is handicapped.

The Cons

  • Steep walkways would render this resort a bad choice for people with mobility issues.
  • The beach is very small
  • The resort is quiet at night (this can be a pro or con depending on who’s talking)
