Sandals South Coast – Review and Guide for 2024

Sandals South Coast offers the best in an all-beachfront Resort nestled on a pristine beach, complete with European splendor. One of the newest additions to the Resort is the overwater bungalows, over-the-water chapel, and an over-the-water bar. Sandals South Coast (or any Sandals resort) truly brings the guest closer to the water than ever before.

The resort is set on 2 miles of pristine white sand beach, with rooms and Suites Nestles in a 500-acre nature preserve. Sandals South Coast is home to Jamaica’s largest pool and has three distinctive European villages. Enjoy fire pits and bonfire areas at night in this adult-only destination in Paradise. It’s no wonder this is one of the best Sandals resorts.

About Sandals Ochi

Where is Sandals South Coast?

Sandals South Coast is found in the Parish of Westmoreland on the island of Jamaica.  This is one of the Island’s most Westward parishes and is the home to Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril, which are part of the Sandals and Beaches chain.

Sandals South Coast is more specifically located in the White House in the parish.

Getting to Sandals South Coast

To visit Sandals South Coast, you will fly into the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.  Flights are easy to find at this major Caribbean Airport, and depending on where you’re coming from, you can get here in under three hours. Once at the airport, you will proceed to the sandals desk or lounge after immigration, where you will wait on your complimentary transfer to the resort. The resort is an approximate 90-minute drive from the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. If you fly into the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, the right is approximately three and a half hours.

Best Time to Visit Sandals South Coast

Jamaica is well-known for its tropical climate, with only slight variations in temperature across the island at different times. The island does experience two rainy seasons, the first in May to June and the second in September to November.  There are also two dry seasons, one which runs from July to August and one that runs from December to April.

The start of winter is one of the best times to visit Sandals South Coast or Jamaica in general. At this time, from November to mid-December, the temperatures usually average 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  Peak season overlaps from mid-December to the end of April, when the crowds are bigger as everyone is on vacation. The summer months of June to August are the warmest, and there is a side increase in rainfall, but if you are considering the best time to visit in terms of temperature, that would be a good choice.

If you are looking for the best time to visit in terms of cost, you will want to look outside peak season.  So you want to look from May to November, where you will find more availability and lots of discounts.  Not only will you find more discounts, but the room rates will be cheaper during this time as well.
